daydream nation

Anchor Bay will release the romance-tinged drama Daydream Nation starring Kat Dennings (Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist) and Josh Lucas (Peacock) on Blu-ray and DVD.

The latest film portrait about the travails of disaffected youth, Daydream Nation tells the story of city girl Caroline Wexler (Dennings) who moves to small town and becomes wrapped up in a love triangle with her high school teacher (Lucas) and one of her stoner classmates (Reece Thompson, Assassination of a High School President).

Written and directed by Michael Goldbach, Daydream Nation co-stars Andie MacDowell (Beauty Shop) and Rachel Blanchard (Adoration) and has a soundtrack that features such artists as Sonic Youth, Sebadoh, Metric and Beach House.

The Canadian production was first seen at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival, but will essentially be premiering in North American on Blu-ray and DVD.

There have been no official announcements regarding the discs’ bonus features.

According to Amazon, the release date is May 17th, 2011.

This update is technically still in progress. My DVD captures are huge and are going to take me forever and a day to upload. That and I uploaded the wrong folder of Deleted Scenes last night so I’m in the process of uploading the correct one now. Fixed! But other than that, we have a bunch of other stuff for you to see. :)

For anyone that has a Twitter, I got bored and made one for the updates to this site at katdenningsnet. Geeky, I know.
