Take a first look at CBS’ new series 2 BROKE GIRLS which premieres this Fall 2011 on Mondays at 8:30pm.
Synopsis: 2 BROKE GIRLS is a comedy about two young women waitressing at a greasy spoon diner who strike up an unlikely friendship in the hopes of launching a successful business – if only they can raise the cash. Sassy, streetwise Max (Kat Dennings) works two jobs just to get by, one of which is waiting tables during the night shift at the retro-hip Williamsburg Diner. Sophisticated Caroline (Beth Behrs) is an uptown trust fund princess who’s having a run of bad luck that forces her to reluctantly give waitressing a shot. At first, Max sees Caroline as yet another in a long line of inept servers she must cover for, but she’s surprised to find that Caroline has as much substance as she does style. When Caroline discovers Max’s knack for baking amazing cupcakes, she sees a lucrative future for them, but they first need to raise the start-up money. While they save their tips, they’ll stay at the restaurant, working with Oleg (Jonathan Kite), an overly flirtatious Russian cook; Earl (Garrett Morris), a 75-year-old kool-kat cashier; and Han Lee (Matthew Moy), the new, eager-to-please owner of the diner. Working together, these two broke girls living in one expensive city might just find the perfect recipe for their big break.
Michael Patrick King (“Sex and the City”) and writer-comedian Whitney Cummings (“Chelsea Lately”) are executive producers for Warner Bros. Television.

We have a still from The Answer Man up in the gallery as well as an image from Kat’s attending the Coach’s Lady Lunch In Hollywood event yesterday.
Too bad there’s not an umbrella among Coach’s new Poppy accessories. The brand hosted a luncheon during a rainy Wednesday afternoon on the rooftop of the Chamberlain West Hollywood hotel to introduce the line to starlets, who were perhaps more interested in staying dry.
“We were auditioning people this morning for ‘You Again,’ and it was sunny,” said Kristen Bell, referring to a Disney comedy she is starring in. “Who knew?”
Kat Dennings opted to cover her bright off-the-shoulder dress in a pashmina.
“I was trying to be summery,” she said. “I think I’m the only summery thing here.”
Despite the cloud cover, Melissa George wasn’t willing to part with her Benjamin sunglasses. “I love these,” she effused. “They are light enough that you can wear them inside and outside.”

Someone from Atlantic Records offered these to us, and we couldn’t pass them up! They’re fake tickets and stickers promoting the Nick and Norah soundtrack, and you can see close-ups of them in the gallery.
We’ve seen a few comments about a “rumor” circulating that Kat will be in a remake of Nightmare on Elm Street. While we have no idea about the validity of this statement, we will say that until we find official statements of roles that Kat will be in, we will not post rumors on this site. Except when we use them for examples of why we won’t post them. Hope that clears things up for everyone!
